MDC presents Berlin‘s favorite bilingual storytelling show The Bear - True stories. Erzähltes Leben Scientists leave the lab and enter the limelight with true, personal stories about their mishaps, mistakes, and moments of truth.
The results are sometimes funny, sometimes poignant, and always entertaining.
Keeping with The Bear format, tales are told without notes or slides. The bilingual evening‘s moderation and stories flow between English and German. The jazz trio Jazzer’s Delight weaves the stories together with live music. Show host Dyane Neiman charms listeners with her lively audience interaction.

Founded in 2015, The Bear has presented over 400 stories from ordinary Berliners sharing the extraordinary moments of their lives. We come as strangers, and leave somehow connected by our shared human experiences.
The Bear' is a non-profit event with the mission is to create a more compassionate community, where each story matters.
