"What I want is for the two of us to meet somewhere by chance one day, like, passing on the street, or getting on the same bus."

— Haruki Murakami (1Q84 (1Q84, #1-3))

THE bEAR invites storytellers to explore the topic of fate

sometimes in the most unexpected ways. Eight randomly selected storytellers, who have put their name in the hat will have the stage for 5 minutes of glory and fame. These 8 fellow Berliners will share a true, personal experience about how the stars aligned in surprising and life-changing ways.

These stories “bear” witness to the startling varieties and travails of human experience, and the shared threads of love, loss, fear and kindness that connect us. We arrive as strangers, and leave somehow more connected to our fellow Berliners through these shared human experiences.

Join us for a truly heartwarming, entertaining evening full of connection and coziness.

“An incredibly inspiring, moving, funny, delightful evening.”  Khushi Pasquale, storyteller

At the end of the evening, the audience chooses their Favorite story and this storyteller is invited to the annual Eve of the Champs in June 2025.

If you would like feedback on your story before you hit the stage: hello@THEbEAR-storytelling.de

If you’ve got a story, we got a stage!

was born and raised in a typical South-Indian family in Bangalore, India. She has been submitting stories and writing funny screenplays ever since she was a little girl. Her material is inspired by her conflicting life - a modern mindset mixed with Hindu upbringing and Catholic schooling. Moving to Berlin in the midst of the pandemic unleashed a wealth of writing, storytelling and stand-up comedy opportunities for her. She took those in her stride and decided to take the leap, after being nothing but a Software Engineer for 14 years.
In 2024 she became a finalist in the Berlin New Stand-up Award competition. Currently she is a regular performer in the storytelling and stand-up comedy circuits in and around Berlin.
