12-Hour Workshop in Autobiographical Storytelling
on January 18, 2025

Prepare for THE bEAR’s open stage shows by diving deep into the world of storytelling. This intensive workshop will guide you through the art of creating, crafting, and connecting through personal stories.

By the end of the day, you will have transformed a meaningful experience into a compelling story using simple yet effective techniques, enhanced by feedback from fellow storytellers. Having shared your story several times throughout the workshop, you'll leave with the confidence to present it to any audience.

Storytelling is a life essential skill for your personal and professional lives. Start 2025 with a Splash—Take the Plunge into Storytelling!

Find. Craft. Tell. Your Story.

Everyone has stories to share:

  • Strange neighbors

  • Funny uncles

  • Tragic accidents

  • Near catastrophes

  • Short-lived romances

  • Unforeseen trouble

  • Invisible angels...

Many of us don’t realize how many stories we hold, and others aren’t sure how to best tell them.

In this workshop, we will breathe new life into the age-old art of storytelling:

  • EXPLORE key moments in your life that have shaped who you are.

  • LEARN how to turn these moments into compelling narratives.

  • BUILD your confidence and skills as a speaker by sharing your story in a supportive, friendly environment.

You will discover why stories work, what makes a story, and how to create one using an easy, step-by-step guide. In a safe space, you’ll experiment with ideas and receive constructive feedback from peers and the trainer.

The day culminates with a dinner break and then a chance to step into the spotlight and share your polished story with the group.

Get ready to laugh, connect, and learn a whole lot about yourself and the art of storytelling.

Yes, it’s purposely a long day to allow the time to ponder, pause, play, have fun, and also at the end to feel fatigue. In this tired state, we often are more apt to let go of our protective shields, and just be ourselves: vulnerable and genuine.
